Delete Your Account

Delete your account in the app

This works for every account, including anonymous ones that never linked an email. You need an internet connection.

1. Open Hifz Mastery and go to the Settings tab.
2. Scroll to the Account section.
3. Tap Delete account.
4. Confirm twice. Your account is deleted and the app returns to the welcome screen.

What gets deleted

• Your account (anonymous or email-linked) and any linked email address
• Your synced progress: revision logs, planner and settings backups, mistakes, bookmarks, recitation session timings and mutashabihat progress
• Your support messages and conversation with us
• Your public leaderboard entry
• Your push notification token
• All Hifz Mastery data stored on your device

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Some residual copies may remain for a limited period in backups or logs until those systems rotate. We do not keep a copy of your recitation audio — it is never stored. Mutashabihat suggestions that were already approved and added to the shared catalogue contain no information identifying you and may remain.

Can’t use the app? Delete by email

If you no longer have the device or the app, email contact@hifzmastery.app with the subject “Delete my account”:

• If you linked an email to your account, write from that email address.
• Otherwise include your User ID (in the app: Settings → Account → User ID → Copy). Without the app, we may not be able to verify an anonymous account, so please keep it if you can.

We aim to complete deletion requests within 30 days and will confirm by email.

Other options

• Erase All Data (Settings → Danger Zone) permanently deletes your progress and settings from your device and your cloud backup but keeps your account.
• Uninstalling the app does not delete your account or cloud data.
• To remove your email from the website waitlist, email us at the address above.
